Local charitable trust that provides one on one support for breast cancer patients, covering the Western Bay of Plenty. They regularly organizes free educational or support sessions for patients as well as fund-raising events.

NZ website with detailed information regarding all aspects of breast cancer including awareness, diagnosis and treatment. This is a good starting point for information with regards to breast cancer management and support services within New Zealand. It is also updated with recent news and research topics of interest. Under  the "Help and Support" section, you will find links to other useful organizations such as genetic service, gift of knowledge etc.

Cancer Australia

Useful website providing information on different types of cancer, including breast cancer, treatment options, genetic risk assesment and current research projects. Formerly known as The Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre, it has now amalgamated with Cancer Australia. Navigate to the breast cancer pages(under "Cancer Types")and there is a useful interactive calculator to assess lifetime risk of developing breast cancer.

Westmead Breast Cancer Institute

This website has evidence-based information for patients and health professionals alike. In particular, it has an updated and informative section under the heading "About Breast Cancer" which covers various areas of interests e.g. breast health, diet and lifestyle,  as well as information brochures/fact sheets on topics such as breast cancer in younger women, treatment, chemotherapy and breast reconstruction.

This website has detailed information about various aspects of melanoma, including surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and newer options of treatment e.g. Vemurafenib (Zelboraf).
